Gorilla Massage Fund

Purpose

The Gorilla Massage Fund is a 501(c)3 charity that raises money to provide grants for massage and alternative therapies to people who are in chronic pain from multiple sclerosis.

Many people with MS use massage for relief of symptoms. Massage can help relax and enhance range of motion exercises. Massage can increase blood flow through superficial veins by friction. It can increase capillary dilation through light stroking. Many find massage can help keep life full, active and satisfying.

Licensed practitioners in the "Gorilla Network" have agreed to accept reduced rates for grant recipients. The fund will support each recipient with a 50% grant for each of four treatments. Individuals receiving the grant will be responsible for the remaining 50% of the cost of the massage.
